Red Bull Art of Can 2016 Kuwait
What if you were handed a Red Bull can to manipulate into anything you want, what would it be? The creative imagination known as “Art of Can” is one that Red Bull developed back in 1999, where they called out creatives to grab a Red Bull can and reshape it into a masterpiece physically or digitally. Red Bull Kuwait brought back “Art of Can” for the second time, where 200 people from different nationalities participated and were provided the cans from previous events and the tools needed to create their pieces. Only 50 were chosen based on the creativity, design, theme and final presentation to be displayed in the exhibition held on June 16th at 360 Mall.
The imagination that was exhibited was beautiful, having to see all the different ways the participant created art by simply using a Red Bull can, from cars to dresses to mini animated movies. Each piece was given its own spotlight for people to see the intricate designs that made each art piece stand out among the others. This competition made people go to the maximum extremes in design to win first place that was handed to Mohammad Mayya’s “The Impact” and Aisha Burhama’s stop motion animation.
1st place “The Impact” by Mohammad Mayya
2nd place “Armored GTR” by Omar Al Hamad
3rd place “Pieces of Me” by Huda Jassim
