Kingdome’s Lifestyle Editor writes about using FORMAT.
FORMAT: The Showcasing platform for Creative Minds.
Creativity is not something we currently lack. There’s definitely no shortage of people making “too much” of a statement. We are seeing that today’s creative minds do not follow a rule book; they are fusing different mediums with polar opposite contexts and are producing, creating and capturing what they – and we – are calling art and inspiration.
As a creative marketer with a focus on contemporary lifestyle and luxury aesthetics, I needed an online portfolio that fused my professional creative planning experience with my artwork. I believed that my platform was also one that needed to hold my brand and services. I was in dire need to begin searching for online builders, when I was introduced to FORMAT.
It was there…it was all there: the ease, the freedom to build and the level of control it gave you over your website. The streamlined (and very shmexy) layout templates and font bundles were initially what got me hooked. The way each template allows you to very tastefully yet significantly brand your work was something that had me clicking on the “Register” tab – and for what? A free month trial and 14$/month for all services!! My heart sang! I literally put my hands up in the air and swayed from side to side.
The registration took 4 minutes to complete with the whole email verification, ultra safe payment confirmations (I used PayPal) and Welcome package to get you started. I was greeted with a link that took me to my personalized back-end…and there I got working. Format has a live chat option with real-time international customer service support. They shoot over a welcome message and within minutes, you are able to properly “speak” with Help Desk. None of that automated response shenanigans. They even linked my already purchased domain for me! Once I began uploading and testing, I realized there was nothing that I needed help with. No long pauses to figure things out. A modern-day 7-year old could manage my website. The options were so easy to use.
Also, the way your website responds to tablet viewing had me smiling. Your website instantly looked as amazing while viewing it from a phone.
